Dr. Russell Bieniek
Dr. Russell Bieniek has been recognized for over 30 years of service and dedication to International Trauma Life Support. Dr. Bieniek served alongside the late Dr. John Campbell, the founding father of the ITLS program, since its beginning as BTLS.
Over his many years of involvement in both the Pennsylvania Chapter and internationally, he provided ITLS teaching worldwide, was a contributing editor to the ITLS Provider manual, was an active Board Member as a National ACEP representative, and served many other roles within the ITLS organization.

Pediatric Life Support Provider Course

The PA Emergency Health Services Council State EMS Conference sponsored a Pediatric ITLS Provider Class as a Pre-Conference training at the conference in Lancaster, PA. Lancaster EMS of Millersville, PA, generously supported the class by providing all the pediatric training equipment. 25 Students completed the 8-hour Pediatric Provider class.

In an effort to reintroduce Pediatric Trauma education across the state, 19 Students from across the Commonwealth participated in a Pediatric ITLS Instructor Class coordinated by the Coalition for Emergency Preparedness, Inc. The class was fully-funded by the PA Emergency Health Services Council and hosted by the Harrisburg Area Community College.
